Human Rights Around the Bay is a human rights monitor website for the Bay Area region. Black anti-lynching activist Ida B. Wells said, "The people must know before they can act.”  This is an interactive site.  It depends on the input of people involved in struggles for human rights and social justice on the ground, people like you.  Please click the button to “Submit a News Story,” where you can point to a published story we can link to, or write your own update or announcement we can publish for you. Select issues of interest to you under the “Issues" tab, or your area under "Find My Local Community.” The “Volunteer” tab shows how you can get involved, and the Calendar lists human rights events around the Bay.
